If you prefer to eat organic food and you want a really good frozen pizza with a cheap price, then I highly recommend this organic roasted vegetable pizza from Trader Joes.
And if you see it in your store, then stock up!
Because it is regularly out of stock at my local Trader Joe’s.
I assume that’s because it’s both a great deal and it tastes really good for a frozen pizza.
How Does Trader Joe’s Organic Roasted Vegetable Pizza Taste?
So, my normal go-to frozen organic pizza is Amy’s Spinach Pizza because it is super easy to find in local grocery stores, and because it makes a great base for adding my own toppings.
But when possible, I prefer to get this pizza from Trader Joe’s because it tastes so much better.
I think that is due to the fact that this Trader Joe’s frozen pizza comes directly from Italy, where they know a thing or two about pizza!
Now, I do want to point out that while this is a fresh veggie pizza, it does have real cheese on it, which means that this is not for vegans or vegetarians who avoid eating animal products.
In addition to mozzarella cheese, the Trader Joe’s Organic Roasted Vegetable Pizza also has organic grilled eggplant, grilled organic zucchini, organic red onion, grilled organic yellow bell peppers, grilled organic red bell peppers, amongst other ingredients.
I’m not normally a fan of eggplant in any dish, but it is surprisingly okay on this pizza.
Personally, I find that you don’t really need to add anything to this pizza for it to be fulling and yummy.
And the crust is amazing, which isn’t something you can say about most frozen pizzas.
Also, I do sometimes add some sausage topping, which tastes really amazing.
Overall, this frozen veggie pizza from Trader Joe’s is big enough to comfortably feed two people.
And it is relatively low calorie for a frozen pizza, unless you’re eating the entire thing by yourself in one sitting.
How To Cook It
At our house, we just follow the directions on the Trader Joe’s Organic Roasted Vegetable Pizza box for the most part and it makes a perfect pizza every single time.
However, I do use a baking sheet covered in parchment paper instead of baking direction on the oven rack.
Direction on the box state to cook at 425F degrees for 12-15 minutes, and I find that 13 minutes is the perfect amount of cook time.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this is one of my very favorite things to buy at my local Trader Joe’s because it is a great value for the money – authentic Italian pizza at a cheap price.
You can’t beat that!
And at my house, we like to serve it with either homemade french fries or potato wedges.
If you’ve got an air fryer at home, then I highly recommend this as a serving side.
